You ask, "Why so many trees?" I answer, "Why not?"
After all, trees are nice. Trees provide shade!
Frankly, I have no good explanation. Last summer I started drawing a few ink doodles on some note cards and now my drawings have snow balled into a full blown series of colorful trees, surrounded by flowers with an insertion of bunnies and kitties. I have no deep philosophical explanation or deep metaphors to attach to my tree drawings. I just really enjoy drawing and creating, it is relaxing and therapeutic. I get lost in intricate patterns that can be interrupted and broken apart. Bold colors mesmerize me and if I can add a little humor, that makes it even better.
All works currently in the gallery are compositions drawn in India in and colored pencil on primed masonite. All pieces are complete with finished edges and a wire on the back, ready to hang....
Works are for sale and can be shipped, just send me an email if you are interested in any pieces.

I'm still trying to figure out how that carrot got in the tree, but it's in there and somehow the bunnies found it and called all their bunny friends. Pretty soon, the whole place was lousy with bunnies.

Post cards! That what.
Like many of you, I like art. I like to make it, but I also enjoy the works of others. Original art can be expensive and if you appreciate art enough to purchase it, it's easy to run out of room in your abode. If you don't believe me, you should ask my husband because this place is lousy with it.
Any who, I think art should be enjoyed by all and accessible to all. I've thought about that a lot. Not only because I enjoy creating and having nice things around me, but I think the simple things we use everyday can be beautiful. I've been thinking of ways that my art can be affordable and enjoyed by anyone.
Last year I published a coloring book, this year I have created a series of 4" x 6" post card sized art pieces. The original pieces are available for purchase at the Naperville Art League gift shop, but packets of complete sets of the 10 images have been made into note cards that are now available for purchase online.
These little cards can be sent to the love of your life, lonely friends, attached to gifts, hung on your refrigerator, the possibilities are endless.
That's right, you can buy small pieces of art from vending machines in locations around Elgin, Illinois.
Did you know I also write and publish books? I didn't think so. To be honest, I've only published 1 comic book and 1 coloring book. Please check them out at the link below.
I am a member of the Naperville Art League. Come and visit the gallery, we have monthly shows with works for sale.
There is always something new.
